Chinese proverb

That the birds of worry and care
fly about your head
This you cannot change
But that they build nests in your hair
This you can prevent.

lovely verse

“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”
Luke 6:43-45

Wagging tongues

Wagging Tongues

A certain priest lay dying from a broken heart. Wagging tongues had ruined his life and work. A person, who had been one of the principal offenders, came to ask his forgiveness. “Father,” she said, “I am sorry for my sins of slander against you. Is there anything I can do restore your good name?”

The dying priest pulled out a pillow from under his feeble head and handed it to her, saying: “Go up into the church tower, cut open this pillow case and empty out all the feathers that are inside.”

The lady did as she was told. A strong wind blew the feathers in every direction. Then she returned tot he priest. “Now,” he said to her, “go out and gather up all those feathers and put them back into the pillow case.” “But that’s impossible,” objected the lady. “The wind has blown them across the whole town.”

“That is just how impossible it is for you to get back my good name for me,” said the priest.

The Spaniards say: “Whoever gossips to you, will gossip of you.”
Italians say: “The tongue has no bones, but it can break your back.”
The Chinese say: “God gave a man two ears and only one mouth.
Why don’t we listen twice as much as we talk?”

Put the glass down

“Put the Glass Down”

A lecturer was giving a lecture to his student on stress management.

He raised a glass of water and asked the audience, “How heavy do
you think this glass of water is?”

The students’ answers ranged from 20g to 500gm.

“It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long
you hold it.

“If I hold it for a minute, it is OK.

“If I hold it for an hour, I will have an ache in my right arm.

“If I hold it for a day, you will have to call an ambulance.

“It is the exact same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it
becomes.

“If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, we will not be
able to carry on, the burden becoming increasingly heavier.

“What you have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before
holding it up again.”

We have to put down the burden periodically, so that we can be re-
freshed and are able to carry on.

So before you return home from work tonight, put the burden of work
down.

Don’t carry it back home. You can pick it up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you are having now on your shoulders, let it down
for a moment if you can.

Pick it up again later when you have rested…Rest and relax.

Life is short, enjoy it!!

Positive affirmation

Positive Affirmation - Ongoing Improvement
By Josh Hinds

Here’s a positive affirmation you can write down and
recite to yourself whenever you need a quick burst of
inspiration…

“Today, and every day I am making a commitment to
improve in some area of my life–either personally or
professionally. Each day offers up the chance to grow,
provided I am willing to dig in and put forth the
effort to do so. The skills I develop now will pay
great dividends as I move forward in the pursuit of my
endeavors–whatever undertakings I may choose.

Greatness is a part of who I am–this I believe with
all my heart. Through a combination of belief, followed
by a commitment to action, I am heading on the right
path which will lead to my attaining my own personal
definition of success. Of this I am certain!”

Improvement.”

constant improvement and constant change.”

Making mistakes, getting it almost right, and

Good things to remember

Good Things To Remember

Stop trying to please others - it doesn’t work.
Start pleasing yourself.

Make sure your shoe souls are clean when you’re walking through someone else’s life.

Upon awakening each day, use the following quotation.. ” Thank You God, for this day…
let’s get out there and see what wonderful stuff we can accomplish “TOGETHER”.

Always praise a person for a job well done.

Praise your children often.

Words we should say more often: “LOVE YOU”.

Never say good-bye or good night to your husband, child, mother, father, dear friends, without making sure they’ve heard or felt your “LOVE YOU” message.

Remember that the world does not expect you to be more than you are capable of being, but it does expect you to try to live up to all that you were created for.

You can’t turn back the clock, but you can wind it up again.

Saying of Mother Teresa

Saying of Mother Teresa

The greatest fulfilment is in doing God’s will.
We do not have to do great things,
only small things with great love.
We do not have to be extraordinary in any way,
I can do what you can’t do and you can do what I can’t do.
Together we can do something beautiful for God.
We can be the little pencils in the hand of God .
